Networking Group Guidelines
One universal set of expectations for every NOCO Women's Chamber networking group, so every circle stays welcoming, productive, and true to our mission.
These guidelines apply to every NOCO Women's Chamber networking group. Individual groups may add meeting logistics, but the standards below are universal and take precedence. Content on this page is a starting placeholder that admins can refine at any time.
Participation and Attendance
Show up consistently and give every member the space to grow.
Attendance Expectations
- Attend meetings consistently and RSVP through the member portal
- Arrive on time and stay for the full session when possible
- Notify the group leader in advance when you cannot attend
- Prospective members may visit up to two meetings before joining
Active Participation
- Come prepared with introductions, updates, or referrals to share
- Give every member equal time to speak; avoid dominating discussion
- Support fellow members with introductions and warm referrals
- Follow up on commitments you make inside the group
Confidentiality
Business details, personal challenges, and referrals shared inside a group stay inside that group. Do not repost or share member information outside the group without explicit permission.
Conduct and Group Leadership
How we treat one another and how each group is supported.
Respectful Conduct
- Treat every member with kindness, fairness, and professionalism
- No solicitation of members outside of agreed group activities
- No gossip, disparaging remarks, or side conversations that exclude others
- One member per profession category per group, unless leadership approves an exception
Referrals and Follow Through
- Give referrals from firsthand knowledge, not hearsay
- Communicate promptly with anyone referred to you
- Log referrals so the group can celebrate wins and track impact
Group Leadership
Each group has a designated leader supported by the Chamber. Leaders set the agenda, moderate discussion, and escalate concerns to the Board. Members are encouraged to raise ideas and issues with their leader first.
Concerns and Enforcement
Concerns about conduct follow the Chamber's Membership Conduct Guidelines and Complaint Resolution Protocol. Repeated violations may result in removal from a group or from the Chamber.
